Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef (cut into cubes)
- 4 shallots (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)

- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp tamarind pulp (or substitute with 1 Tbsp vinegar)
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1/4 cup palm sugar (or substitute with brown sugar)
- Salt to taste
