Ingredients

  • 4 small baguettes
  • 400g crispy pork or chicken (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp pâté (chicken or pork liver)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • ½ daikon radish, julienned
  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Fresh coriander (cilantro)
  • 1 lime (for squeezing)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add the julienned carrots and daikon, stir well, and let them pickle for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Slice the baguettes in half lengthwise, leaving one side connected. Lightly toast them until crispy.
  4. Spread a generous layer of pâté on one side of the baguette and a layer of mayonnaise on the other.
  5. Layer with slices of crispy pork belly or chicken.
  6. Top with pickled carrots and daikon, fresh cucumber slices, and coriander leaves.
  7. Drizzle with Maggi sauce and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  8. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavour.
